Your Story Here, Let’s Work Together

We’re looking for fitness-related stories that feature you. I’ve got a long list of article ideas, but after further review, I feel like I’m missing a great opportunity to hear from more voices in the fitness community. You don’t have to be famous or have thousands followers—some of the most interesting and motivating stories I’ve read/watched were from people who never graced the cover of anything.

You might work in the fitness industry, you might be a mom trying to find the time to work out, you might be an athlete gearing up for a competition or you might be some out-of-shape 40-year-old looking to get rid of those unwanted office pounds. Regardless, you’ve probably got a good fitness-related story to tell.

I’m basically a guy with a laptop who has a passion for fitness. The site is brand new, we don’t have a ton of traffic and I’ve got nothing to sell. My income is derived from an office job in Corporate America and has nothing to do with the fitness community. I’m hoping to share both entertaining and educational articles to help keep myself and others motivated and educated.

I’ll work with you to write the story. It could be as simple as having a conversation over the phone or responding to some questions via email. Whatever works best for you. The only thing that I ask is that the story be unique. I’m not looking for a bunch of articles from a blog that you already have. That’s not to say that we couldn’t come up with something new to say about a previously published article, but let’s strive for something novel.

Your fitness-related story might entail a physical transformation, a humorous anecdote from your past, a lesson learned from a tragedy, a significant achievement, an observation about the fitness industry, a boy-meets-girl (or partner meets partner) tale—you get the idea. If you’ve got something you’d like to share, please fill out the contact page and try to include the following:

  • A few sentences about yourself
  • A few sentences about your topic
  • Any relevant links or online assets if you’ve got them

That’s all there is to it. Just remember that the subject should be directly relatable to the fitness industry. I can’t say that I’ll be able to use anything/everything that’s submitted, but I can say that I will do my best to respond to every single submission. Let’s start writing and sharing.
